About Us

People of Color Outdoors is a non-profit organization and a Meetup community. People of Color Outdoors was created to provide Black, Indigenous, and People of Color a safe and welcoming way to enjoy nature in Oregon while learning about nature and the environment. Our activities are a blend of networking, outdoors career options, environmental education, history, outdoors skills and of course, fun! https://www.meetup.com/People-of-color-outdoors/

The children learned about the indigenous people that used to live in the area and created the very trails that they walked on that day in Forest Park.

The children were thrilled to get their

very own signed copy of Park Ranger Supervisor Vicente Harrison's book "My Nature Exploration" after author Vicente Harrison read the book to them!
